Fishing the wrong

Then Jesus said to them “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”. Mathew 4:19.

 Recently I found writing on a wall “You catch them and He (Jesus) will clean it”, with pictures of fishes on it. It really made me think. It’s true!! All that we need to do is catch the fish and our savior Jesus will clean it. We don’t have to worry about cleaning the fish, because His word says “The Blood of Jesus will wash away all our sins”. But the problem is we don’t catch the fish!!

Unfortunately most of the churches today are fishing in the wrong place. Many pastors and church leaders are looking out for fishes in others fish tanks. In other words, many of the churches are interested in getting souls from the other churches, which are in fact cleaned fishes (Saved Souls). Many church leaders are looking out for fish tanks rather than fishes. Why is this state in the churches these days? It is because of the lack of proper vision in the churches.

We tell Jesus, Lord we don’t want to trouble you by asking you to clean the fishes that we have caught, rather we will catch the cleaned fishes from others tank. We will make it easy
for you!!

Now, concentrating on those fishes that jumps from one tank to another is also not a good fish. It will be too late when they realize that it is not the not fish that they caught but they are those fishes which will gradually change into frogs. These frogs get inside your tank and spoil the tank.

My dear brothers and sisters, while there is an ocean full of fishes, we don’t have to look out for fishes in the tank. Let’s get inside the boat of the Holy Spirit and throwing the net of Gods salvation. Lets catch fishes for Jesus Christ so that He can clean it. The Bible says, “The Harvest is plenty but the workers are few”. Are you ready for fishing the right?

The Count Down for the Devil..

Joshua was a courageous man of God.He was very sure that he would conquer the promised land that God said HE would give them.But he had to face an hindrance on his way to reach the promised land.The hindrance was the WALL OF JERICHO.It was such a huge wall, that people who accompanied him thought that it was impossible to cross this wall and reach the promised land.But Joshua did something very special there!!He sought the Lord for guidance and God asked him to give the wall a COUNT DOWN!!!Seven days was the count down time and on the seventh day the wall fell flat and they conquered the promised land.
There are times in our lives where we have an hindrance before we could conquer our promised land.There might have been lots of promises in the year 2009 which God had given us and which we might not have conquered.We could have faced lots of such Jericho walls on our way to these promises.There are even times where the devil has given us a count.
The doctors would have given you a COUNT DOWN to your life due to sickness in your body.
A  COUNT DOWN to fall financially.
A  COUNT DOWN to fall sick...
A  COUNT DOWN to lose your job...
You may be going through some hopeless situation as you are completing this year and stepping into a new year.Devil might have roared at you "YOUR COUNT DOWN STARTS NOW"!!He might have threatned you to start counting as you enter the hopeless new year 2010.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,its time for us to be courageous like Joshua .Its enough of satan giving you a count down!! Its time for you to challenge the devil back and give him a count down!!The jericho wall you encountered may be sickness,poverty,hopless situation,financial crisis etc.No matter what it is!!take it to the Lord Almighty.Give the count down as you are entering into this brand new year and the fort will fall dow.You are going to see the walls fall down!! you are going to conquer the promised land, the promises which were not conquered in the year 2009!!

Your count down starts now!!!

Patient endurance

Hebrews 6:15 "And so ,after he had patiently endured,he obtained the promise"

There are three ways where God gives an answer to our prayers.It can be an YES,a NO or a WAIT!WAIT is the toughest answer that one can get.It requires real patience to WAIT upon the lord.But the bible says "Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength like an eagle".We can see even Paul talking about endurance.

Each of us have lot of UNFULFILLED or THE YET TO BE ACCOMPLISHED - promises in our lives and are eagerly waiting as to when these will turn true in our lives.But when the situations are absurd,when there are storms of trials and tribulations rising up against our lives,when we begin to feel that our present situations does'nt seem like they are leading us to the promises that GOD has given us.., Thats when we tend to lose our endurance.We feel hard to hold onto it.

Abraham was a person, who endured his promise.God told him "I will make you a great nation" wherein the situation he was facing was exactly opposite to the promises God had given him.He was too old to have a son!!!He had to separate from his nephew lot, whom he loved dearly.He faced a situation where the king tried to take away his wife.God even asked him to leave his house and go to the place where GOD would show him.He was put in a situation where he was in the wilderness and was in a NO-WHERE situation!!He didnt see any way where he could reach his promised land.But he held onto the promises what God had given him,he patiently endured for his promises to turn true... and GOD was faithful enough to fulfill what HE had promised.

Dear friends,GOD can turn your NO-WHERE situation to NOW-HERE situation.He can say SEE YOUR PROMISE IS HERE!!!If GOD has given you a promise, and the situations seem like they are contrary to the promises what GOD has given you.. All you need to do is to patiently endure like Abraham did and it will come to pass.Are you ready to endure the promise patiently???

DRY IT UP

Dry empty vessel

On the 16th of Oct 2009, I was getting ready to go for an all night prayer meeting conducted in our church. Before I could start from my home, God spoke to me and asked me to kneel and pray. As I started praying, God spoke to me clearly through His word. He led me to turn to the book of Isaiah 44:3.

ISAIAH 44:3 “For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and flood upon the dry ground”

God spoke to me through this word and said that He is much interested in the people who are thirsty. In other words, He is much interested in the people whose lives are dried. God has promised that He will pour out his spirit and blessing on the people who have dryness in their lives.

During the night prayer, God shook the hall and many were filled with the spirit of God. There was a mighty river of anointing overflowing among the people.

My dear friends, many times we are stocked up with lots of thoughts of what to do, how to do, when to do and so on…… which brings in lots of tension in our mind. Where, we don’t show out empty vessels to HIM. 

In the book of Genesis chapter 21, you can read about a women called Hagar, the mother of Ishmael. Abraham sent her away with their son, and she walked out into the wilderness, wandering aimlessly. When there was no water left, she left the boy in the shade of a bush and she sat at a distance saying "I don't want to watch the boy die," as she burst into tears. Then God heard the boy's cry and opened Hagar's eyes, and she saw a well. She immediately filled her water container and gave the boy a drink.

God heard the cry of a small boy, he saw the emptiness, the dryness he had and filled him with what he was crying for.

Dear friends, if you are ready to cry out for an anointing, if you are ready to dry it up and show your emptiness to God, then HE is able to satisfy you by pouring out his spirit on you. It is time for you to get dried up, because when you get dried up, God is gonna pour out His anointing like a flood which will break all your yokes. Then the blessings will follow you. The God who shook the lives of the people during the night prayer can surely shake your life and change it to be an ever green.

Dry it up today for God’s flood.

Magnify The Lord

Magnifier

When I was a kid, there were no toys like play stations, I still remember when I was a kid I saved some money to buy a magnifying glass. I was quite excited to see how it works, for me at that age the magnifying glass was an adventure waiting to happen.

The main feature is to enlarge anything you wanted to see with the help of this magnifying glass. When I held that glass up to an object, I could look at aspects of it that couldn’t possibly be seen with normal vision. Magnification didn’t make that object any bigger than it actually was, but it greatly enlarged my view, allowing me to see details that were hidden without magnification.

Each and every one of us has a magnifying glass; but the problem is, many times we end up using this magnifying glass to see our problems enlarged. It happens that we always end up magnifying the problem and not our Lord Jesus Christ.

That is the reason David said “Magnify the Lord”. When situation came for David to go against Goliath. David said to Goliath in 1Samuel 17:45 “You come to me with a sword, with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of Hosts”.

Do you know the secret of David’s victory? And Israel armies failure against Goliath?

The Israel army saw the big Giant Magnified, but David saw his Lord of Hosts Magnified, and then David saw Goliath was looking like an insect before his magnified God.

My dear friends; stop Magnifying your problems and situation, stop magnifying your sickness, financial crisis, problem in our marriages, disability etc,  and start magnifying the God who created you, your problems will look smaller before our Magnified God, then God will help you to overcome your situation that you are facing.
